Memory Care

Picture of Resident and FamilyCaledonia Care and Rehab’s Memory Care Unit  caters to  the needs of people with memory loss. We offer specialized assistance for those who are dealing with Alzheimer’s or dementia.

All of the same features associated with assisted living are provided,  along with the additional skills necessary to accommodate the needs of people with memory loss. We believe each person is unique, with individual needs and abilities that we are dedicated to recognizing and enhancing.

Assurance

Safety and Security for every resident is our top priority and we have designed our Memory Care for this purpose.  The furnishings and décor were chosen for a calming, quiet effect in a secure setting.    Our staff has the specialized skills needed to make the lives of our residents as safe, meaningful and dignified as possible.  We offer 24 hour staffing in case of emergency or need for redirection and RN’s on call.

Creative

Individual and group activities are scheduled throughout the day.  The activities are based on past and

present interests of the residents to stimulate the resident’s memories and enrich their lives.   We encourage families to provide items and hobby ideas from home to help maintain the resident’s life style. We strive to make our facility warm, inviting, and close to home.  We encourage family visits!

Respite Care

Our Respite Care offers short-term stays for seniors needing assistance for a limited time. People may stay anywhere from 2 to 14 days and are treated as a resident of our community.

The rooms are furnished and staff assists with personal cares as needed.  Respite care is an affordable, loving choice for people whose primary caregivers need a vacation or a weekend away.
